Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Monthélie 1er Cru Les Riottes 2022

Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey is the eldest son of St-Aubin winemaker Marc Colin. Since leaving his family domaine in 2005 to launch his own winery, Pierre-Yves has become one of the most-lauded winemakers on the Côte d'Or. His approach is very much minimal-interventionist: no batonnage for whites; minimal racking and extended élévage across the board.

Whilst Pierre-Yves is the king of Chardonnay, his wife, Caroline, crafts the expressive and elegant wines for Pierre-Yves. Pierre-Yves’ cellar is shared with, Caroline. The daughter of Jean-Marc Morey, whose family has cultivated vines in Chassagne since the 16th century, Caroline created her own domaine in 2014. Pierre-Yves makes her white wines, and they both have differing terorirs.
